Hunt Southwest inks leases, reaches 86 percent occupancy in industrial spec building, Riverbend West Distribution Center
Ecolab and PODS, both in expansion mode, lease 260,176 square feet total
Dallas-Fort Worth—October 17, 2017—Hunt Southwest Real Estate Development has inked two long-term leases totaling 260,176 square feet in its Riverbend West Distribution Center, a state-of-the-art, speculative distribution facility that was completed at the end of 2016.
Ecolab, a global provider of water, hygiene and energy technologies and services to the food, energy, healthcare, industrial and hospitality markets, has leased 192,350 square feet in Riverbend West Distribution Center. This will allow the company to expand and consolidate operations from two third-generation facilities located in Riverbend East and Riverbend West business park. PODS, a moving and storage company, has leased 67,826 square feet and is also expanding and consolidating out of two third-generation buildings in the Riverbend East business park.
“We anticipated high demand for this distribution center in today’s strong industrial market,” said Hunt Southwest Vice President T. Preston Herold. “The facility’s central, accessible location in Fort Worth, combined with new-construction amenities, were a perfect fit for both Ecolab and PODS as they looked to significantly expand their footprints in close proximity to their existing operations.”
Located at 2101 Reeves Place in Fort Worth, just south of Interstate 820 and east of Interstate 35W, Riverbend West Distribution Center is a 301,500 square foot distribution facility that offers tenants prime proximity to air, rail and highway infrastructure and access to abundant and high-quality labor. With the completion of the Ecolab and PODS leases, there is one remaining unit available. The 41,324 square foot space is move-in ready with 2,167 square feet of spec office, LED warehouse lighting, skylights, 12 dock high doors, one (1) 14’x16’ drive-in door and abundant car parking.
J.R. Tomlinson with Jackson Cooksey represented Ecolab, and Mark DiMarsico with Commercial Realty Associates represented PODS in the transactions. Donnie Rohde and George Jennings with Holt Lunsford Commercial represented Hunt Southwest, the developer and owner of the property.
